Service Description
Overview: The Instructional Coach Teacher Mentoring program offers 20-30 hours of personalized support throughout the year. This program helps teachers develop instructional strategies, address classroom challenges, and improve student outcomes. The program includes in-person coaching and regular phone/video conference meetings to provide ongoing support and feedback. Program Includes: In-Person Coaching: 3-4 meetings per year (2-3 hours per session). Phone/Video Conference Meetings: Regular check-ins (approximately 1-2 hours per month). Support for Key Instructional Tasks: Classroom management and differentiation strategies. Effective lesson planning and implementation. Assessment strategies and data-driven decision making. Supporting the needs of diverse learners (special education, ELL). Strategies for fostering a positive classroom culture. Collaboration with colleagues for professional growth. Reflection and goal-setting to improve practice. Scope and Sequence (General Flow): Quarter 1: Initial meeting to discuss goals and challenges. Focus: Classroom management and differentiation. First in-person coaching session. Monthly check-ins to assess progress and adjust strategies. Quarter 2: Focus on assessment practices and data-driven decision making. Refining instructional practices based on student data. In-person coaching for continued reflection and planning. Quarter 3: Supporting diverse learners and instructional adjustments. Fostering collaboration with peers for professional growth. Mid-year review and adjustments to goals. Quarter 4: Final assessment of progress and instructional growth. Reflection and setting goals for the next year. In-person session to discuss year’s successes and areas for improvement.
